Beautiful Exile consiste in cinque ritratti di donne, prima durante e dopo l'orgasmo. Filmati a singole riprese e senza sonoro, i ritratti sono stati ideati per essere proiettati su 5 grandi schermi. Beautiful Exile è stato lanciato con la parola "arrivi", la parola preferita di Breda Beban, in omaggio a Reiner Maria Rilke e a Robert Bresson che dice: «Il volto umano è il paesaggio più bello». I ritratti sono ripresi a Duino dal cameraman Robby Muller. Muller è conosciuto per il suo lavoro con numerosi registi di fama internazionale, tra i quali Lars von Trier e Wim Wenders.

Beautiful Exile comprises of five portraits of women before, during and after orgasm. Filmed as silent single takes, the portraits are staged as projected on five large screens. Beautiful Exile was triggered by the word arrivals, which is Breda Beban’s favourite word, Rainer Maria Rilke’s Duino Elegies and Robert Bresson who said: “The human face is the most beautiful landscape”. The portraits were filmed by cinematographer Robby Muller in Duino, Italy. Muller is best known for his work with a number of influential directors including Lars von Trier and Wim Wenders.
